For adults, Clarissa teaches a creative and energetic practice primarily based on the performance of a series of poses (asanas) known as Sun Salutations. This eclectic style of Yoga, Vinyasa Flow, incorporates a wide variety of Yoga postures and breathing practices throughout the class. The flowing postures and breath-synchronized movement of a Flow class build internal heat, promoting flexibility and coordination, while gently increasing strength and stamina. Appropriate for all levels of fitness, a Flow class will leave you feeling rejuvenated, clear-minded, and with a deeper mind-body awareness.

Introductory level class, allowing for growth and variations as your personal practice progresses. Focus is on principles of alignment in basic Yoga poses, introduction to meditation for stress reduction, and introduction to Yogic philosophy. No prior Yoga experience necessary.
Open Vinyasa Flow (all levels)
A creative, energetic class experience! Open Vinyasa Flow is appropriate for all levels of yoga experience. Knowledge of common pose names is helpful but not required. We will explore fluid transitioning in Sun Salutations, begin the practice of deeper variations of basic poses, and introduce inversions. Appropriate modifications and variations are always available to make poses accessible to all students. While maintaining focus on proper alignment, students can expect instruction to be more subtle than in a Gentle Flow class. We expand the exploration of Yogic philosophy and the concept and science of the Energy Body and its effect on overall health.
A retreat for your spirit! Relax and explore 4-5 Yoga poses, completely supported by props, for a tranquil and rejuvenating practice. A Restorative practice facilitates healing on a deep, cellular level, calming the effects of stress and releasing mental and muscular tension. We will also discover the incredible healing benefits of Yoga Nidra, diving deep into relaxation.
Meditation, Ritual, and Energy
Through meditation, light yoga, and breathing practices, each week's class evolves into a month-long journey around one aspect or theme. This will allow us to dive deep into the yogic understanding of the energy body and authentic self. We will explore how establishing simple ritual and energetic balance can positively affect our health and vitality, while deepening our spiritual practices.
