Dharma DanceYou know the saying, "Dance like no one is watching?" Well, here's your invitation!
Dharma, a Sanskrit word, refers to living in alignment with truth and right action. Dharma Dance is a moving meditation and conscious movement practice that invites us to deepen our understanding of embodiment and connect more fully with ourselves. This heart-opening, soul-awakening experience encourages us to connect with our authentic selves, our loving presence, and our aliveness. Through movement, we explore the connection between mind, body, and spirit while cultivating greater awareness, freedom, and self-expression. What to ExpectYou'll be gently guided through a process of listening, releasing, allowing, and opening. We begin by slowing down and connecting with the breath before gradually moving into our own rhythm in whatever way feels natural and inspired. Dharma Dance supports the release of physical and energetic tension while encouraging creativity, mindfulness, and present-moment awareness. Expect to move, sweat, explore, and connect with your body's wisdom. Open to EveryoneNo dance or meditation experience is necessary. People of all ages, abilities, and experience levels are welcome. All that's needed is a willingness to be present, stay curious, move, and honor your own rhythm. What to Bring
|
We typically dance barefoot. Depending on the flooring, socks may help you move more comfortably.
This is a drug and alcohol-free space. Please arrive 15 minutes early, as we begin promptly and the doors will be locked once the session starts. BE PREPARED TO BE MOVED! |

Welcome to our monthly community discussion group!
First Sundays we gather for community satsang: spiritual reflection, discourse, and exploration. Offered in a reverent but relaxed fashion, this is a time to connect with community and engage in discussion as we delve into topics, practices, and spiritual systems that facilitate personal growth and understanding. Folks from all philosophical, religious, and spiritual backgrounds are welcome. This is a free community offering however donations are gratefully accepted. * No special supplies required * You may want to bring a journal or notebook * Dress comfortably - we will be seated or reclined the majority of the time. Chairs, bolsters, blankets, mats, and blocks are available for your comfort. Satsang: translates loosely to "in the company of truth". Historically, satsang referred only to a gathering in the presence of a true enlightened being, or satguru. In modern times, satsang has evolved to mean any gathering in which spiritual reflection, discussion, meditation or teaching takes place. |
