Mindful Movement:
Embodied, energy-cultivating movement to support balance, flow, and presence.
Rooted in Taoism and Traditional Chinese Medicine, Tai Chi and Qigong are gentle, evidence-supported movement practices that promote harmony, balance, and well-being through slow, continuous motion and mindful breathing.
Led by longtime practitioner Rebecca Brooks, trained at the Tai Chi for Health Institute, our classes offer low-impact, moving meditation that calms the mind and releases nervous tension through active motion. Tai Chi and Qigong are wonderful compliments to more active martial arts practices.
Benefits of continued practice may include:
• Lower blood pressure
• Improved strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination
• Reduced anxiety and depression
• Enhanced memory, cognition, and pain management
• Relief from arthritis symptoms
