Absolute Beginner Bundle - Private Sessions
This introductory offering is tailored specifically for anyone new to yoga, returning to the practice, or looking for the most supportive way to adapt the practice to their body. Clarissa will meet with you for one 20 minute consult to discuss your intentions and any specific considerations for cultivating your yoga practice. You will then meet for three 60 minute private yoga sessions where you will learn the basics of the practice and the ways to best support your body, empowering you to confidently enter a group setting.
Contact the studio to schedule your consult and book your private sessions. Sessions are scheduled based on instructor and studio availability. Bundle passes must be used within 3 months of purchase. [email protected] or 205-239-7083 |

Frequently Asked Questions:
New or returning to yoga?
Consider a private one on one session with Clarissa or invest in our Absolute Beginner Bundle (three, 60 minute private sessions and one 15-20 minute consult). This option allows you to meet with an instructor to learn and gain confidence with the foundational poses of yoga while exploring the most supportive variation of each posture for your specific practice. If you’re ready to jump into a group class, take advantage of our First Timer's Single Class Pass and start with Gentle Flow Yoga or Morning Flow Yoga.
I am new to yoga but am otherwise physically active, do you think a “beginner”class will be challenging enough?
YES. Even fitness aficionados and athletes who are new to yoga will benefit from attending a class that is offered at a slower pace! This allows you the opportunity to learn pose names, explore what pose variations and alignment are most supportive of your body, and get comfortable with transitions in flow sequences. The physical practice of yoga will likely work muscles in ways that your previous physical activities haven’t and can bring balance to over-worked muscle groups. Mindfulness and relaxation are an important part of yoga practice; both can be deceptively challenging in the beginning!
What should I bring?
We have all that you need at the studio. If you have your own yoga mat or other props, you are welcome to bring those with you. You are welcome to bring your own water or we have water and hot tea available.
How should I dress?
We suggest comfortable pants/shorts made from material that allows for stretching and movement. You will want a top that allows for movement and is somewhat fitted at the waist. We spend some time in inversions and looser fitting tops can “ride up” and get in your way. When attending Tai Chi or Qigong, bring a pair of socks or wear shoes specifically made for the practice.
Should I pre-pay and register ahead of time?
Yes, whenever possible. This is by far the easiest and fastest option! Drop-ins are always welcome on a first come, first serve basis. We can accept in-person payment prior to start of class.
Do I have to create a Punchpass account?
Yes. Punchpass is our studio management platform and allows us to easily keep track of class passes and attendances. Once you're set-up you can easily purchase class passes online, register for classes, events and workshops, cancel or move a registration, update your email, and access our video library (limitations apply). With your info on file, we are able to quickly notify you of class cancellations and changes to the schedule. Forget to sign up for class? Once you're in the system, it's easy to add you once you arrive. It only takes a few minutes and will make signing up for class so much easier!!
What if I am recovering from an injury or have other special considerations for my practice?
Always check with your healthcare provider first about any concerns you may have to find out what, if any, movements or practices should be avoided. Afterwards, call our studio to chat with Clarissa about your concerns. Clarissa has over a decade of teaching experience and specialized training in helping students find options for adapting their practice in a way that will be supportive and beneficial.
Worried about your picture showing up on social media or being pressured into a Tik Tok yoga challenge?
Yoga is an extremely personal practice, even when practiced in community. All our instructors honor and respect your privacy. You will NEVER be filmed or photographed without permission. This is simply not something we do in our classes. If we want to create promotional material, we will take volunteers for a photo/video shoot (and maybe a Tik Tok challenge!) outside our class times.
