What is a Crystal Session?
A crystal session is a relaxing, rejuvenating, clothing on, minimal contact method of placing crystals and stones on and/or around the body while in relaxation. Energetic imbalances are thought to eventually manifest as physical ailments or emotional issues. Utilizing crystals for the recalibration of subtle energy fields, specifically within our body's major energy centers, helps to activate our body's natural ability to heal itself; resolving or neutralizing emotional and energetic disturbances, allowing for soul learning, potential healing, and spiritual growth. |
What is Reiki?
Reiki is a specific Japanese system of energy work for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. During a session, hands are placed just off the body or lightly touching the body, as in “laying on of hands.” A Reiki session can be offered in person or over long distance. In a Reiki session, the practitioner is seeking to channel "Universal Life Energy" (chi, qi, prana, etc.)to the client. The intention is to create deep relaxation, to help speed healing, reduce pain, and decrease other symptoms you may be experiencing. The National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine (http://nccam.nih.gov) places Reiki within a domain called Energy Medicine or Biofield Energetic Therapies. In this domain, therapies are based on the idea that disturbances in energy contribute to illness. Energy medicine practitioners seek to improve the flow and balance of energy in a beneficial way. Many Reiki practitioners utilize complimentary and integrative energy modalities during sessions. Clarissa combines the energy recalibrating effects of crystals and stones with Reiki, oftentimes incorporating mantra, the soothing vibrations of singing bowls, and gong. *Never use Crystal Healing, Reiki, or any alternative or complimentary modality in lieu of professional medical or psychiatric advice and/or treatment.*

- Protection + Grounding Layout - This Reiki and crystal session can be done anytime but is especially effective done during the new moon when it is easier to connect with the Earth’s electromagnetic field in an effort to restore balance and ground our own EMF. This layout is done after a chakra recalibration. If requested, we can work with a guided meditation to bring you deeper into Earth consciousness. To take home, you will receive either a grounding stone set with affirmations to use for grounding on your own or a grounding/protection pouch for your vehicle.
- Relaxation Layout - This Reiki and crystal session involves a chakra recalibration, then a focused layout to gently and lovingly help you relax into the crystals. Perfect for times of high stress, those always on the go, and anytime you are having challenges reaching relaxation on your own. To take home, you will receive either an eye pillow infused with lavender flowers and amethyst chip stones or Clarissa’s Relaxation Tea Blend.
- Self-love Layout - This Reiki and crystal session involves a chakra recalibration, then a focused layout for self-love and compassion. This layout is perfect for those encountering relationship challenges, increasing compassion, shifting self-pity into self-compassion, or for those recovering from abuse. You go home with the stones used in your layout to continue the work on your own.
- Upper Chakra Activation - This Reiki and crystal session involves activation of the throat, third eye and crown to enhance psychic work, connections to spirit guides, the angelic realm, channeling, and authentic self-expression. iolite, amethyst, apophyllite + clear quartz. You go home with either a Clear Quartz point or Amethyst point to continue connection and meditation on your own.
- Transmuting Shield - Reiki and crystal session involves a chakra balancing, then we move into a deep transmuting shield to strengthen your electromagnetic field, optimizing transmuting abilities. This is perfect for those going through a rough time, feeling vulnerable, or empaths. This layout is one that energizes, and strengthens, so it is not recommended for those looking to relax. It is perfect for those who work with the public, in high-stress environments, and in healing professions. You go home with a Protective Bath (inspired by Hibiscus Moon) for future transmuting and energetic fortification when needed!

Due, in part, to their geometric perfection at the molecular level, unlike human beings, crystals maintain a more consistent and precise vibration, or base resonant frequency. This vibrational consistency is thought to allow crystals and stones to align with and recalibrate frequencies at the major energy centers of the body (chakras) which may support emotional, mental, and physical healing.
How does a crystal/energy session work?
A session may include placing crystals and stones on or near the body, chakra balancing, and Reiki- Universal Life Force energy, to cultivate balance at the physical, energetic, emotional and spiritual level. A typical session lasts about an hour, depending on your specific needs.
What can I expect during my energy work session?
For your initial visit, you will fill out a detailed intake form which will help determine which techniques will be used in your session. You will stay fully clothed and lie face up on a massage table (Let Clarissa know if you have physical considerations that make lying on the back uncomfortable or if that position is contraindicated for any reason). Soothing music, singing bowls, crystals, Reiki and aromatherapy may all be incorporated into your session to maximize the beneficial effects. After your session, you will receive a summary of the session including notes and impressions discussed as well as a list of the various stones used and their properties so that you can continue to work with their energy.
How often should I receive a crystal/energy session?
This will depend entirely upon your particular situation and current needs. For general relaxation and maintenance, I suggest a session as often as once a month or as infrequently as once every three months (at the change of seasons).
What is your refund/cancellation policy?
Cancellation Policy. To alleviate any stress or hesitation you may have about an upcoming appointment, I have an extremely lenient cancellation policy. If you need to cancel or reschedule for whatever reason, and especially if you are not feeling well, I understand and urge you to contact me as soon as possible to do so. There are no penalties for cancellation at any time up to the time of your appointment as long as you let me know by phone call, text, or email. If you do not inform me of your cancellation (a “no-show”) or contact me after your appointment time, you will be charged the full appointment fee.
Sessions are transferrable up to six months from date of purchase but are non-refundable.
