About the Founder

Clarissa Boggess, founder of Painted Lotus Yoga & Wellness, brings over 25 years of personal practice and deep study to her teaching. As a Registered Yoga Teacher, mentor, and community leader, she’s led professional development  trainings, facilitated sacred movement experiences, and supported hundreds of students in reclaiming their bodies and breath. Her work weaves together vinyasa flow, nervous system regulation, sound healing, and esoteric wisdom traditions. Clarissa’s approach is rooted in respect for the source culture of yoga, grounded in inclusivity, and deeply informed by lived experience—including her path as a neuro-divergent teacher and spiritual practitioner living in the Deep South. She created Painted Lotus as a sanctuary for growth—not performance. For students and teachers alike, it is a space for coming home to the body, breath, and self.
