SPECIAL EVENTS &
MONTHLY CLASS OPPORTUNITIES

YOGA NIDRA with Lynda
Thursday, September 21st

 6pm - 7pm

ALL STANDARD CLASS PASSES AND COMMUNITY SHARE JAR ACCEPTED FOR THIS CLASS.
September 21st Yoga Nidra
Practice led by Lynda Kees (she/her), RYT 500
Yoga Nidra is a meditative yogic technique that facilitates deep physical, mental, and emotional relaxation. It is practiced in savasana (relaxation pose), wearing light, loose clothing, and lying comfortably in a "cocoon" or "nest" using blankets, pillow/bolster, eye pillow, neck support, whatever you need to feel completely comfortable.

Lyning in shavasana (relaxation pose), you will remain aware of the instructor’s voice, moving the focus of your mind according to the instructions. Rotation of conscious awareness proceeds in a sequence beginning with a detailed full body scan, then through any of a wide variety of visualizations. In this practice, you are encouraged to remain relaxed, spontaneous, and at peace -- not striving for anything, allowing whatever experiences arise. Although Yoga Nidra is often referred to as “yogic sleep,” your body and mind are completely relaxed and your mind is alert.
We will begin this practice with a few minutes of gentle stretching to get the kinks out before we settle down for this powerful, peaceful practice. Please bring a comfortable blanket or throw, socks, and your mat if you usually bring one. We will provide yoga mats, additional blankets, eye pillows, neck pillows, and bolsters for those who want to use them.  Remember, you are creating a cozy nest for yourself to relax in for about 45 minutes.

6PM - 7:30PM

Limited to 8 People
GROUP CRYSTAL & REIKI:
REGISTRATION & TICKET: $25
Session facilitated by Clarissa Boggess (she/her), PLYW owner/instructor, Reiki practitioner, HMACM
Session is $25 per person
Transition to Autumn with a little energetic hygiene! Ever been curious about Reiki and/or energy work with crystals and stones? Now is your chance to experience what Clarissa refers to as an energy recalibration session.
A group session is a great way to see if this type of energy work is something you want to explore further with a one to one session later on.
We will begin with a brief discussion about what is meant by "energy work", the subtle body, what Reiki is and how stones compliment and support this type of energy work.
The focus of this group session will be on recalibrating the 7 major energy centers recognized in the 7 chakra system. Clarissa will be aligning participants to a crystal grid designed to support your transition into this more reflective time of year when we may be spending more time in community at events, or with friends and loved ones. Stones will be placed on and/or around the body while participants are in deep relaxation. Reiki is offered to the group and individually.
Yoga mats, blankets, and bolsters will be available for your use however please feel free to bring your own props from home. Dress comfortably. You may want to bring an eye pillow, sleep mask or scarf to limit external light.
If you have your own stones that you would like to use for the session, please feel free to bring those. Session fee does not include stones however the stones Clarissa uses in your session will be available for purchase for additional cost.
Session is limited 8 people.

SOUND BATH & MEDITATION EVENT PASS: $10
Evening facilitated by Clarissa Boggess (she/her), owner/instructor

Cost to attend: $10. Pre-register or Drop In.
Join us the third Friday of every month for an evening of grounding, relaxation, and meditation utilizing the gong, singing bowls, and other sound/vibrational methods that have been shown to offer measurable health benefits, aiding in alleviating symptoms of anxiety and stress, promoting more restful sleep, support in lowering blood pressure, and pain relief.
Expect to sit or lie in relaxation while the deep, earthy tones of the Chao gong and bright, soothing tones of singing bowls and bells wash over you. For stressed and overly-active minds, the tones from the gong give the mind something to anchor to as you learn to release into deeper states of relaxation.
Attendees are welcome and encouraged to bring their own yoga mat, pillows, blankets, or bolsters to pad their nest and support their comfort. The studio does have communal mats, blankets and bolsters available for public use at no additional cost.
